Treatment Questions

What’s in an IV therapy treatment?

Our IVs contain a customized blend of:

  • Sterile saline or lactated ringers for hydration
  • Vitamins (B-complex, B12, Vitamin C)
  • Minerals (magnesium, calcium, zinc)
  • Amino acids for muscle recovery
  • Taurine for cardiovascular support and energy
  • Optional add-ons like glutathione, Toradol, Zofran, or NAD+

The exact formulation depends on your treatment goals and medical evaluation.

Does IV therapy hurt?

The IV insertion feels similar to a routine blood draw – a brief pinch. Once the IV is in place, most people feel no discomfort. If you experience any pain during the infusion, let your clinician know immediately and we’ll adjust.

How will I feel after treatment?

Most clients report feeling noticeably better within 30 minutes to a few hours after treatment. Common benefits include increased energy, improved hydration, mental clarity, and reduced symptoms (depending on what you’re treating). Effects typically last several days to weeks.

Are there side effects?

Side effects are rare but may include:

  • Slight bruising at IV site
  • Cool sensation in the arm during infusion
  • Temporary metallic taste (with certain vitamins)
  • Rare: allergic reaction to specific ingredients

Our clinicians monitor you throughout treatment and can adjust the infusion rate or stop treatment if needed.

How often should I get IV therapy?

Frequency depends on your goals:

  • General wellness: Monthly or as-needed
  • Athletic recovery: Weekly or bi-weekly during training
  • Chronic fatigue or illness: Weekly initially, then monthly maintenance
  • Immune support: Monthly or seasonally
  • Hangover recovery: As-needed

We’ll create a personalized treatment plan based on your health goals.

Specific Treatments

What is NAD+ therapy?

NAD+ is a coenzyme critical for cellular energy, DNA repair, and longevity. We offer three delivery methods:

NAD+ IV Therapy: Delivered via IV infusion over several hours (dosage-dependent). Pricing is $1 per mg.

NAD+ Injection: Quick administration via injection – much faster than IV delivery.

NAD+ Patches: Transdermal patches that deliver 1,300mg of NAD+ through the skin over 12 hours. Pricing: $225 each or $1,050 for a package of 6 patches.

All methods support energy production, mental clarity, anti-aging, and metabolic health. We’ll help you choose the best delivery method based on your goals and schedule.

What are peptides?

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that signal your body to perform specific functions like healing tissue, burning fat, building muscle, or improving sleep. We offer targeted peptide protocols for recovery, performance, longevity, and wellness optimization.

We use medical-grade peptides – NOT research-grade.

All peptides are delivered directly to your home – no pharmacy trip required!

Peptides we offer include:

  • BPC-157 – Accelerates healing of muscles, tendons, ligaments, and gut tissue
  • TB-500 – Promotes tissue repair, reduces inflammation, and speeds recovery
  • GHK-Cu – Anti-aging peptide that supports skin health, wound healing, and tissue regeneration
  • Tesamorelin – Reduces visceral fat and promotes lean muscle growth
  • CJC-1295 – Stimulates growth hormone release for muscle building and fat loss
  • Ipamorelin – Enhances growth hormone production, improves sleep and recovery
  • PT-141 – Improves sexual wellness, libido, and performance
  • Semax – Enhances cognitive function, focus, and mental clarity
  • And more – We offer additional peptides based on your specific health goals

Each protocol is customized to your needs after medical evaluation.

What is GLP-1 for weight loss?

GLP-1 medications (including semaglutide, tirzepatide, and retatrutide) help regulate appetite, blood sugar, and metabolism. Under medical supervision, GLP-1 therapy supports sustainable weight loss when combined with healthy lifestyle changes. We recommend a microdosing approach for optimal results and tolerability.

All GLP-1 medications are delivered directly to your home – no pharmacy trip required!

What is testosterone replacement therapy (TRT)?

TRT restores healthy testosterone levels in men experiencing low T symptoms like fatigue, low libido, muscle loss, brain fog, or mood changes. Treatment involves regular hormone monitoring and injections to optimize vitality, strength, and overall wellness.

All TRT medications are delivered directly to your home – no pharmacy trip required!

Blood work is required: Initial blood work must be completed and submitted to State of Infusion before starting treatment. Periodic blood work is also required for maintenance monitoring.

What is cellular regeneration therapy?

Cellular regeneration includes stem cell therapy and exosomes designed to support tissue repair, reduce inflammation, and aid in recovery and anti-aging. We offer ultrasound-guided targeted stem cell and exosome therapy using mesenchymal stem cells (NOT your own cells). These advanced biologics support your body’s natural recovery processes at the cellular level.

Medical & Safety

Who administers the treatments?

All IV therapy and medical treatments are administered by licensed Registered Nurses (RNs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), or Physician Assistants (PAs) with extensive clinical training. All treatments are provided under physician supervision.

Who is your medical director?

State of Infusion operates under the supervision of licensed physicians who oversee all treatment protocols, medical evaluations, and patient care. Certain advanced therapies require direct physician consultation and clearance.

Do I need a prescription?

Some treatments require a prescription (such as GLP-1 medications, peptides, and hormone therapy). After your medical evaluation, our supervising physician will provide any necessary prescriptions. IV vitamin therapy typically does not require a prescription but does require medical clearance.

What if I have allergies?

Please inform us of any allergies during your booking and medical screening. We’ll customize your treatment to avoid any ingredients you’re allergic to. If you have severe allergies to medications or IV ingredients, we may recommend alternative treatments.

Can I get IV therapy if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

We do not provide IV therapy to pregnant women except in specific medically supervised circumstances. If you’re breastfeeding, certain treatments may be appropriate – we’ll evaluate on a case-by-case basis. Always consult your OB/GYN first.

What if I have a medical condition?

Please disclose all medical conditions during your screening. Some conditions (like kidney disease, heart failure, or electrolyte imbalances) may require physician clearance or alternative treatment options. We prioritize your safety above all else.

Getting Started

What should I do to prepare for my first IV appointment?

  • Drink water before your appointment (helps with IV insertion)
  • Eat a light meal beforehand (don’t come on an empty stomach)
  • Wear comfortable clothing with easy arm access
  • Have a list of any medications or supplements you take
  • Be ready to relax for 30-60 minutes during treatment

What happens during my first IV appointment?

Your clinician will:

  1. Review your medical history and symptoms
  2. Take vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen)
  3. Discuss treatment options and answer questions
  4. Obtain informed consent
  5. Insert the IV and begin treatment
  6. Monitor you throughout the session
  7. Provide aftercare instructions

Can I exercise after IV therapy?

Yes! Many clients receive IV therapy specifically for workout recovery. You can resume normal activities immediately after treatment. In fact, many athletes schedule IV sessions right after intense training.

How do I know which treatment is right for me?

During your consultation, we’ll discuss your symptoms, goals, and medical history to recommend the best treatment. Whether you need hydration, immune support, energy restoration, or performance optimization, we’ll create a personalized plan for you.
